Linford Fisheries Terms & Conditions


1. General

1.1 These Terms and Conditions govern all fishing activities conducted on the Linford Fisheries site covering the 360-acre site comprising eleven (11) lakes, two (2) canals, and one (1) stretch of river (the “Fishery”). 1.2 By purchasing a ticket, membership, permit, or otherwise accessing the Fishery for angling purposes, all anglers and visitors (“You”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. 1.3 Management reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The latest version shall apply and will be deemed accepted upon entry to the Fishery.

2. Access and Permits

2.1 Fishing is permitted only with a valid ticket, day permit, season membership, or written authorisation issued by Fishery Management. 2.2 Permits are non-transferable and must be carried at all times while fishing and produced upon request. 2.3 Management reserves the right to refuse admission or require any person to leave the Fishery without refund where these Terms and Conditions are breached.

3. Angling Conduct

3.1 All anglers must fish only in designated swims and must not obstruct paths, access routes, or other anglers. 3.2 Respect for other anglers, visitors, staff, wildlife, and neighbouring landowners is mandatory at all times. 3.3 Excessive noise, abusive language, disorderly conduct, or behaviour deemed unsafe or inappropriate by Management is strictly prohibited.

4. Fish Care and Welfare

4.1 Fish welfare is paramount. All fish must be handled with care and returned to the water promptly. 4.2 The Fishery Rules must be adhered to at all times. 4.3 No fish are to be removed from the Fishery under any circumstances. 4.4 Retention of fish in keepnets is prohibited unless explicitly authorised for specific matches or waters.

5. Tackle and Bait Restrictions

5.1 Only rods, reels, tackle, and bait approved by Management may be used. 5.2 The fishing rules must be adhered to at all times. 

6. Boats, Drones, and Vehicles

6.1 Boats, bait boats, and drones are not permitted in line with the Fishery Rules. 6.2 Vehicles must be parked in designated areas only. Driving or parking on banks, tracks, or grassed areas outside of designated areas is prohibited. 6.3 Five mph speed limit on site must be observed at all times.

7. Environment and Biosecurity

7.1 Littering is strictly prohibited. All rubbish, including discarded line and hooks, must be removed from the Fishery. 7.2 To prevent the spread of disease and invasive species, all nets, mats, and equipment must be clean and dry before use. 7.3 Damage to vegetation, banks, fences, or Fishery property is prohibited.

8. Health and Safety

8.1 You enter the Fishery entirely at your own risk, with Fishing also undertaken entirely at your own risk. 8.2 The Fishery contains open water, uneven ground, wildlife, and natural hazards. You must exercise due care at all times. 8.3 Children under the age of 16 must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. 8.4 Swimming, wading (unless permitted), and entering the water are prohibited.

9. Weather and Water Conditions

9.1 Management may restrict or suspend fishing due to adverse weather, water conditions, or fish welfare concerns. 9.2 No refunds shall be given for early termination due to weather unless Management decides otherwise.

10. Liability

10.1 The Fishery accepts no liability for loss, damage, or injury to persons, vehicles, equipment, or personal property, however caused, except where liability cannot be excluded by law. 10.2 You fish and enter the site entirely at your own risk and accept full responsibility for your actions and safety.

11. Matches and Events

11.1 Organised matches or events may only take place with prior written consent from Management. 11.2 Additional rules may apply to matches and events and must be adhered to at all times.

12. Animals

12.1 Dogs and all other pets are strictly prohibited when fishing. 12.2 Any person found bringing animals onto the site will be required to leave immediately and may face suspension or permanent banning.

13. CCTV and Monitoring

13.1 CCTV and site monitoring may be in operation for safety, security, and enforcement purposes. 13.2 By entering the Fishery, you consent to such monitoring.

14. Enforcement

14.1 Fishery staff and bailiffs are authorised to enforce these Terms and Conditions. 14.2 Failure to comply may result in removal from the site, suspension or permanent banning, and forfeiture of fees.

15. Governing Law

15.1 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

By entering and fishing the Fishery, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
